Rosie Lee is a cozy, no-frills cafe tucked into the heart of Shanklin on Regent Street. This small spot works well for a quick bite or a takeaway, especially if you’re exploring the town or heading to the nearby beach. Its scale means it’s less about lingering with a coffee and more about grabbing something freshly made and thoughtfully prepared.

The menu leans heavily on hearty sandwiches and baguettes, often packed with generous fillings like various meats and even a comforting meat, gravy, and cranberry option which locals appreciate after a day out. There’s also a selection of homemade cakes and pastries, made on-site, offering a sweet treat for those who pause here mid-morning or afternoon.

The atmosphere at Rosie Lee is straightforward and practical — it’s a family-run business, which shows in the polite, helpful service and a genuine care for accommodating dietary needs, like dairy allergies. While seating is limited indoors, this encourages many visitors to order for takeaway, fitting well with the flow of foot traffic and local errands.

People who often make Rosie Lee part of their routine include those looking for a quick office lunch, day-trippers on the Isle of Wight who want to refuel without fuss, and locals who know the value of fresh, well-priced sandwiches and salads. The best time to visit is during the lunch hours when everything is freshly assembled and the kitchen is buzzing with activity.

Overall, Rosie Lee suits anyone after a straightforward, quality sandwich or salad fix served up by a friendly team in a small, down-to-earth setting. Its strength lies in dependable food, accommodating staff, and an easygoing pace that mirrors the laid-back vibe of Shanklin itself.

We came across this shop on the lookout for and wernt disappointed. So many options, we opted for baguettes with meat, gravy and cranberry. It was absolutely delicious and so fairly priced. If we were on the island for longer we’d definitely be going back.

Lovely small deli with a wide range of exciting choice. Very polite and welcoming and extremely helpful, partner has a dairy allergy and they went above and beyond to show everything she ordered had no dairy in at all. Food is a good price, high quality and very tasty. The only upsetting this about this place is that I don't live next door to it!!
